Norcross Activity Center LCI
Through a planning study that included a significant public input process, a strategic plan has been created to generate a more walkable community between Downtown Norcross and I-85 and to compete for federal funding to complete many of the public improvement projects outlined in the study.  These plans focus on creating and maintaining pedestrian interconnections, intermodal transportation opportunities and key density improvements.
Palmetto LCI
Located about 30 miles southwest of Atlanta, Palmetto is a charming small town with lush vegetation, a wide array of historic homes and a small Main Street with tons of potential.  Urban Collage has been working with the Atlanta Regional Commission, The City of Palmetto and the citizens of Palmetto to set a precedent for smart-growth policies and historic preservation initiatives in the face of growth pressures common to much of Metro Atlanta.

East End Neighborhood
Urban Collage has worked to create a revitalization plan for the historic East End Neighborhood, just east of Downtown Lexington. This diverse neighborhood is originally home to professionals, entertainers, and even some of the first African-American jockeys. The plan recommendations balance affordability with feasible economic development and include a focus on rejuvenating the Third Street Corridor.  Efforts have also included the documentation of planned urban design improvements and identification of key catalytic development projects.

Midtown Arts Center Plaza Opens!

Urban Collage has been working for several years to oversee design and implementation of the new public plaza at the corner of Peachtree and 15th Streets.   This so-called "Arts Center Plaza", which was funded collaboratively by the Woodruff Foundation and the Midtown Improvement District, is an exciting new public space whose design took excessive vehicular space and reclaimed it as park space within this heavily pedestrian environment.  The plaza had its grand opening ceremony on October 31, 2008.
